There are many types of cables available connecting devices from printers, monitors, speakers, modems and other networking devices. Cables and connectors can range from below $10 to above $850. The average USB cable will cost $40 and the average HDMI around $60. Common cable and connector brands are APC, Belkin, HP, Adaptec and RCA. Some cable/connector usually required are SCSI cable, power cable, KVM cable, audio cable, USB cable, data cable, video cable and more recently HDMI Cables. Other cable types include PS/2 cable, serial adapter, monitor cable, extension cable, phone cable, power adapter, USB 2.0 cable, serial ATA cable, IDE cable, antenna cable, USB adapter and VGA/SVGA cable. When deciding which cable to purchase, remember that quality cables usually cost more. |
